China Art Trip Exhibition

Today is the opening ceremony of the art exhibition which showcases the artworks done by students and teachers who went for the art trip to China earlier this year.
It's truly amazing how the exhibition was put together. The entire process of attending workshops to hone our art skills, the trip to China to sketch, the workshops after the trip to paint... It was a lot of hard work. It's a pity that I didn't get the chance to do any canvas painting due to time constraint. Looking at all the artworks... it's really impressive! I'm awed by what can be attained through one single art trip. Ties and friendships fostered, collaboration among counterparts and appreciation of nature and creative individual artworks.... amazing, isn't it?
p/s: Exhibition is @ Bishan Library from 7th-14th June 2007.

Finally the Day has come!!

Hey, before you're mistaken... nope, it's not the BIG day..yet. It's just the long-awaited photoshoot day. Yup, been waiting for it since the time we chose the gowns (& suits). Was wondering how the gowns (& suits) will turn out. (They were too big for me, remember?) Went for fitting last week and they turned out...well, fitting ;b

My Daring and I were excited about being the only models for the photoshoot (ahem...we're of modelling calibre). We had been considering several locations for photo-taking and the picture style we prefer. In the end, it was our co-ordinator who suggested the locations.

On THE day, the weather was perfect... exactly what I prayed for! Not too bright, clouds to shield the sun (just enough light for the photos to turn out well), some breeze (not too hot for me to be in the gowns, pls). Sounds demanding? Well, God delivered it!

Initially, I was a little jittery. "You mean the make-up is done?!".... "I've to change into my gown now? You mean, NOW?!".... "All ready....huh, you mean we're going out NOW?!".... "Darling, can I not take any photos, pls?"

Thank God that my Darling was very patient with me. As it turned out (to be what my Darling said), everything went on well.... and we both enjoyed it very much!

Darling and I had good chemistry with the photographer. We were fast in posing and "acting" whatever the photographer had in mind. He was also quick to catch our candid moments too! I was hooked being photographed...so much that I felt it ended too soon... ;(

Well, perhaps, we can have couple photoshoot again... soon... Darling???

Winding down....

My "work-mind" has been winding down, preparing for holidays in a pretty fast mode ;P

Just finished a 2D1N camp with my GB gals. Wow, realised that as I grow older, I kind of don't like camp anymore. Well, first it's the bed, then the bathing facilities. Still, there are some fun elements in camps.... but it's no joke having to plan, pack (the logistics can kill!) and execute the programme. Try running a 2-hour games session with a group of 20 gals.... always need to hype it up to excite them (and to keep myself going). Fun.... but tiring! And the gals don't seem to run out of energy at all! They don't even need to sleep at night!! Hmm... guess it's been a long, long time since I was young and loved staying up late with my girlfriends...hmm...

Counting down to June Hols

My system has been counting down to the June holidays.... it has been slowly refusing to work. Just trying to push work away! Looking forward to the month-long holidays is the only motivation. But I'll be having an extended holiday as I'll be going to UK to attend my brother's wedding! Yipee! Something else (that's different from others) to look forward to... ;p

Visit to the Air Force Museum

Went to the Air Force Museum today... seeing the all the planes and helicopters at the atrium is soooo exciting! They were all beautiful! The display panels had lots of info on the planes as well as Singapore's "air history". After going through the exhibition, I realised that Singapore (leaders) has put in lots of effort (& money) to build up our Air Force over the last 30 years! Not a long time, actually, considering the kind of advanced technology and the knowledge we've built up within that short time! I think it's truly a great accomplishment for our little red dot!
